Reviewed Kinect Star Wars, I Have

Roughly two years ago at E3, we finally got to see what Project Natal was all about; thus being the Kinect for Xbox 360.  We saw what Your Shape Fitness Evolved, Dance Central and Kinect Sports had in store for us.  We also got a little teaser for Kinect Star Wars, which had a lot of tongues wagging – especially mine.  With a vague release date, and even originally set for October 2011 that got delayed just a little more, the wait finally ended on April 5, 2012.  Kinect Star Wars is here and was well worth the wait.  As far as expectations of ‘will this game give me a lightsabre and can I use the force in a Star Wars environment?’ – Absolutely! This time around Danger Close Games are developing the multiplayer as well as the single player campaign (last time DICE did the MP) however the game is going to use DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine. This new game is slated for release on October 23rd and will continue to follow the elite Tier 1 Operators, however this time it’s not just set in Afghanistan. With missions all over the world from rescuing hostages in the Philippines to defeating pirates off the Somali Coast it should be pretty cool. Max Payne Mobile Released on iOS

It’s become a trend lately for game publishers to get companion games made for the iOS platform in the lead up to big releases, particularly games like Mass Effect, Dead Space, Rage and others. Rockstar have decided to get on the bandwagon ahead of the upcoming release of Max Payne 3 and have now released Max Payne Mobile, although it’s a little different to the rest. Read more…

Mass Effect 3

I’m going to be honest, I am completely ashamed to say that I have not actually played the first two Mass Effect games before. It’s not that I haven’t wanted to, but my ever lingering lack of funds have long prevented me from buying most of the awesome games out there. But never fear! For this review, I joined forces with a good friend of mine who is a Mass Effect veteran and in fact wrote an article on the Mass Effect 3 launch for DBG. Together, we were able to experience Mass Effect 3 from both the beginner and the veteran points of view. What you will read here is a combination of both our opinions. Read more…

Episode 28 – A Drop Bear Journey
Duration: 01:56:43 • Size: 53.44 MB

We are back with another podcast episode, this time without Lucas unfortunately but Matt, Susie, and Tim manage to wax lyrical about some great games that are out currently. After a quick mention of the latest R18+ news (which is old news now) Tim shares his thoughts on Thatgamecompany’s newest game Journey, followed by a mobile game review by Susie about the new Kairosoft game Dungeon Village. We finish up this epic podcast with Matt’s thoughts on Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and a quick spoiler about Uncharted 3’s story (don’t worry we put a warning in before it starts so you can skip that bit if you want!).

We hope you enjoy this episode and if you don’t then please don’t write a petition against us :S

Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (Vita)

I love me some fighting games! Yes-sir-ree~ I’ll admit I haven’t played any of the Marvel vs. Capcom games or the like before – that is, before Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for Vita is pretty much the same as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, but it has the added handiness of being able to be played on the go on a hand-held. Read more…

Lamb_Chop’s Dev Diary – Networking

I’m sure a lot of people think that a career in games means sitting at your desk, since there are some great gaming desks online for  playing games, and staying snug and warm in your own little swivel chair fort in the corner of the office. Sorry to burst your happy little bubble. It is in fact, the complete opposite. Read more…
