Square Enix have finally given us some more details about the upcoming HD remasters of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 for PS3 and Vita.

Final Fantasy X HD - Screen 01

Since the remastering of X was first announced on September 13th 2011 we have heard nothing from the publisher until now, 18 months later. Better late than never right? The upside is that they have confirmed that X-2 will also be getting the remastering treatment which is excellent for fans of the two games which were originally on the PS2.

While Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD remasters will share a disc on the PS3 they will be sold separately for the Vita, with no details of any bundle discount revealed as of yet. Having played the original Final Fantasy X I have been waiting for them to show us more about this development and Square Enix have released the following announcement trailer to give us a sneak peek of the game.
