Our good friends at Tin Man Games have released Gamebook Adventures 1: An Assassin in Orlandes as a LITE version, offering you the chance to try it for no cost.

The free version offers a taste of the awesomeness that is Gamebooks. With the LITE edition you get first fifth of the story, as well as all the other extras  such as Orlandes Uncovered, achievements and the world map. In his press release Tin Man Neil Rennison said “We’ve had people contact us for some time asking for a Lite version, as they had never played a fantasy gamebook before but loved the concept. As this is the first time we’ve released a free version, it will be interesting to see how it turns out for us. Hopefully it will mean we encourage a few more people to read at least!”

Also in the statement Neil went on to discuss the release of Gamebook 7 titled, ‘Temple of the Spider God’ written by Fighting Fantasy’s Jonathan Green.  “We’re so excited to have such a highly acclaimed author working on it”. Neil went on to say “GA7 is coming together well and we’ll be looking for a release around the beginning of August.” With the book comes the release of the GAML (Gamebook Adventures Markup Language) 2.0, which he says “brings a lot of new features to our gamebooks like vehicle combat and fighting alongside other characters, as well as many others.”
