The Game Awards for 2022 just happened and there was a bit to unpack, so Matt & Lucas have compressed it all down to bring you the most important and pertinent facts on the latest episode of the DBG podcast. The guys also discussed the new gen upgrade for The Witcher 3, and reviewed The Callisto Protocol and Marvel’s Midnight Suns. We hope you enjoy the show!

The Callisto Protocol (PS5)
The Callisto Protocol was expected to be the Dead Space of 2022, which it turned out not to be at all. Due to the nature of the genre, some elements are there, however Callisto Protocol is not what we all expected. Ambient music forecasting potential jump scares, a steep difficulty curve, and cumbersome character death scenes make this game fall short of being an truly A-grade horror game.
Marvel's Midnight Suns (PS5)
A surprisingly good game, although it really should be no surprise given the pedigree of the developer Firaxis. While the card based tactical combat gameplay is top tier the dialogue and story elements are a little below what we have come to expect from AAA games. A definite buy for Marvel fans and fans of the turn based tactical genre.
