Sony’s Welcome Back Package Online

As of a few hours ago the PSN Welcome Back Package has been added to the PSN Store. It is Sony’s first step in trying to appease disgruntled customers after the “Great PSN Outage of 2011” and personally I think it’s fantastic. It’s running a bit slow at the moment which is pretty standard considering the fact that a few million people are all trying to grab their free games straight away, so you may get error messages while trying to access it. It might be a good idea to wait a few hours before you hit it, so while you wait, here is a list of the games you can choose from and a few of the other perks you can look forward to.

All PSN accounts in Australia and Europe (the US has a different list) created before April 21st 2011 will be eligible to pick 2 of the following games:

– Infamous
– Dead Nation
– Little Big Planet
– Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty (US users will get the choice of Super Stardust HD instead of this)
– Wipeout HD including the Fury DLC pack

All PSP owners are eligible to pick two of these games:

– Little Big Planet PSP
– Modnation Racers PSP
– Pursuit Force
– Killzone: Liberation

All PSN accounts will also get 30 days free access to the PSN Plus premium service. While this service offers several free games and DLC each month, they are only valid while you are a member so don’t be disappointed if they stop working after a month. On the upside the games listed above are yours to keep forever regardless of PSN Plus membership, and any avatars and theme packs you download through the PSN Plus either free or discounted will be yours to keep forever too.

Which games are you going to choose?
