Today iOS heavy weight Firemint was bought by gaming heavy weight champion EA. In a press statement released on the Firemint website, the Firemint CEO Rob Murray stated “I just wanted to drop everyone a quick note about the planned acquisition of Firemint by EA. This is a pretty exciting move for us and for EA”.

He went on to say “we will be operating with very high levels of autonomy and yes I am running Firemint and doing what is best for our games and our customers. The easiest way to sum it all up is business as usual.” let’s just hope Rob is right and all the great games coming from Firemint stay on track and just keep getting better, pushing the elements of mobile games. Congratulations to the team at Firemint for all there hard work.
